New year, new data! PDS started out 2021 helping operators navigate various data migrations, including merging assets, onboarding acquisitions, and updating to hosted well systems.. A few examples of recent projects include the Pioneer / Parsley merger, the Devon / WPX merger, and assisting in moving our clients to the SaaS version of their well database systems without interruption to their current PDS services and partner sharing.
Why use PDS for your mergers and acquisitions?
- Our approach is dynamic. Using our tried-and-true data exchange platform as a base, we provide operators a solution that will feed data between systems in tandem for a period of time (often 90 days). This allows ample time to move people and processes into place and avoids the stress of a hard cutover.
- We are system agnostic. While we can definitely assist in mergers that originate in the same software, we can also convert and exchange between two data sources such as OpenWells and WellView. Our solution includes a custom mapping of the converted data into your database to store the data where you want it. To further your efforts, we can also feed the data into other platforms such as AI / BI solutions, or backup files to your internal storage.
